Were you born in Vermont? If not, when did you become a Vermonter?
I was born in NJ, and I settled down in Vermont in 2001.
What attracted you to Vermont?
The community, the rural-ness and the proximity to airports and urban areas, like Montreal, Boston, and New York City.
What attracted you to your current town?
My wife has family in Brattleboro and Guilford.
Have you found community here in Vermont?
We have both found a community of artists and created a community of circus artists.
How have Vermonters welcomed you?
Vermonters have been welcoming and accepting of what I and my family bring to the community.
How has your quality of life improved while living in Vermont? What challenges do you face living in Vermont?
The cost of living is less and the opportunities for work, locally, are fewer. The less stressful way of rural life creates balance.
What advice would you give to people who share your identities who are considering becoming Vermonters?
We are welcome here. Keep your mind open to new possibilities and they will happen
